The Information We Collect and How We Collect It

There are different levels of information we collect, as described below:
  • BlogEverywhere Website Visitor: If you visit our websites we automatically record non-personally identifying information your browser makes available whenever you visit a website. This log information includes your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. This information is collected in the background while you move around our website. We use this information to operate, develop and improve our services. BlogEverywhere may also use a cookie to uniquely identify your browser. A "cookie" is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. We use cookies to maintain the state of your interactions with our service, to improve the quality of our service and to better understand how people interact with it. BlogEverywhere does this by storing user preferences in cookies and by tracking user trends and patterns of how people use the service. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, BlogEverywhere may not function properly without cookies.

  • BlogEverywhere Registered Website Member: BlogEverywhere asks you for some personal information in order to create an account (typically your name, email address and a password for your account) and we will use that information to provide the service. If you choose to register on our website, we will track broad site usage information as well as aggregate usage of website community features such as downloads and forums. This is in addition to the personal data collected during the registration process.

  • BlogEverywhere Toolbar User: If you become a user of the BlogEverywhere toolbar, we collect and aggregate a variety of data. This includes information about your computer hardware, Internet connection and all user interactions and all necessary parameters needed to provide our services. We track usage of customer-service resources in order to ensure high quality interactions. This is in addition to any data and information collected during the registration process. While you have the Toolbar installed, please note that new versions of the Toolbar will automatically be installed on your computer. This keeps your Toolbar up-to-date and lets you take advantage of new features as soon as they are available.
